Choosing fiber fabric duct for noise suppression in HVAC system

1. Reduce the sound source noise of the ventilator

   (1) Choose a suitable heating and ventilation pipe production line. In occasions with high noise control requirements, low-noise fans should be used. For different types of fans, under the same air volume and pressure, the centrifugal fan with airfoil blades has low noise, and the centrifugal fan with forward plate blades has high noise.

   (2) Appropriately reduce the speed of the ventilator without affecting the use effect. The rotating noise of the fan is proportional to the 10th power of the circumferential speed of the impeller, and the eddy current noise is proportional to the 6th (or 5th) power of the circumferential speed of the impeller. Therefore, reducing the speed can reduce noise.

  (3) The noise level at the inlet and outlet of the fan increases with the increase of wind pressure. Therefore, when designing the heating and ventilation pipe production line system, the pressure loss of the system should be minimized. When the total air volume and pressure loss of the ventilation system is large, it can be divided into small systems.

   (4) The flow velocity of the airflow in the pipeline should not be too high, so as not to cause regeneration noise. Determine the air flow velocity in the pipeline should be selected according to different requirements according to relevant regulations.


2. The noise suppression of the ventilator on the transmission path


   (1) Install appropriate mufflers on the inlet and outlet of the ventilator.


   (2) Choose suitable silent ventilation ducts, such as soft cloth ducts.


3. The fan should be maintained in time, checked and maintained regularly, and replaced damaged parts in time to eliminate abnormalities to create low-noise operating conditions.


4. Use a new type of heating and ventilation pipe production line system, such as fiber fabric air duct, because it is a flexible air duct made of fiber fabric, it will not produce mechanical resonance, and will not generate and transmit noise. Even according to different equipment and operating environment, some noise will be absorbed.
